"The images were taken on last June 9, the last day of school. On that  day the park has become a battlefield of the children of different ages playing in water.The title “9 June Park” contains, by  assonance, a tribute to “Nam June Paik”, an artist who has explored the potential of video systems.
The term “Refresh” has a double meaning: 1 - Normally used for indicate a moment of regeneration, relax, drink; 2 - In computer and video systems is the cyclic rewriting data in the memory in order to avoid their lost and damages."

Affiorano, belli, mossi e sfocati come si deve, i ricordi di una splendida notte di fine estate romana.
Ecco la documentazione di Sugar Lemon, una video-installazione realizzata per Provocazioni Festival, il 28 settembre scorso.
Se c'è davvero un motivo per cui mi risulta difficile andare via da Roma, si trova in quelle notti tiepide di estate, quando in tutta la città c'è un'unica festa, dove incontri, tutte assieme, tutte le facce amiche che conosci. Ecco, Provocazioni è una di queste feste.
*Grazie a chi, tra una birra e l'altra, ha trovato il tempo per registrare qualcosa. che farei senza di voi?

"installation hosted in "Provocazioni Festival" [ cromedrop.com ] in september 2013 in Rome.
The spot was an old dog-racing circuit illegally occupied, with a big rugby-field in the center, full of ecstatic people, all dancing, looking for happiness or for referral points.
The 5 videos transmitted monochromatic landscapes for all the night. No figures, no faces, no cats, no skulls, no lettering, no cool icons... Just a bright random evolving RGB palette, a wide colorful enigma that illuminated an end summer night in Rome.

Playful or claustrophobic, life never stops to fascinate us.
So The Snake! The Longest Life gets to 200000 views.

Non si finisce mai di imparare: non sapevo che i lacrimogeni potessero essere lanciati da un elicottero, mi sembra un metodo che garantisce molta precisione.

"In the last years I spent a lot of time playing Snake, recording live the phone monitor and the TV audio (expecially trash afternoon shows).Once, during a long sitting, I recorded the entire talk-show called "start again from here". In that Show Costantino (an incisive and probably invented videomaker) talked about his unlucky passion of art.He confronted himself with the TV experts, he asked to the talent-scouts how to be famous. Yuo can imagine the answer...This is a document about the dream and the lies of art in the society of spectacle. Never listened something like this." [mimmo rubino]
